Q1: Why does a "36V battery" need a "42V charger"?
A: "36V" refers to the nominal (average) voltage of a 10-series (10S) lithium battery. When fully charged, each cell reaches 4.2V, making the max charging cutoff voltage exactly 42.0V (10 × 4.2V).
Q2: Is this charger compatible with LiFePO4 or Lead-Acid batteries?
A: No. This model is strictly calibrated for 36V Standard Lithium-ion (NMC/Li-Po) batteries. For 36V LiFePO4 (43.8V cutoff) or Lead-Acid batteries, please check our specific model listings.
Q3: Why does the charger get warm during use?
A: It is normal for the charger to generate heat while converting AC to DC power. The fireproof casing is designed to dissipate heat naturally. Please keep it in a well-ventilated area and away from flammable materials during charging.
Q4: How do I know if my charger or battery is faulty?
Light stays Green when plugged into battery: The battery may be fully charged, or the battery BMS/fuse is blown, preventing charge current from entering.
Light does not turn on: The charger fuse may be damaged or the AC outlet is disconnected.
